New owners! 2nd great experience! Christian was like an old friend! So engaged and fun! Joshua at the bar was great! Totally want to support the Issaquah location and the good food/good people!!! Reservations are available now and patio rocking soon!!!

Nicolino's offers authentic Italian cuisine now that they are under new management! Great food and great service...and Sandra is the best!

Absolutely amazing experience!!!! Christian made us feel like family. First time in here in years and we're so glad that we gave it a shot because the new management was incredible. Appetizers, espresso martinis, and limoncello were INCREDIBLE. We can't want to bring friends and family back to try their full menu.

New ownership and it is evident! Friendly, fast service. Delicious Linguini and clams. The garlic white wine sauce was perfect: not heavy and flavorful. The Bolognese was meaty and saucy- not too spicy. Panna Cotta was light and refreshing. And the Chocolate Decadence cake was not too dense or thick. All that a a Peroni: $89, including tax. We will return to try other dishes. Enjoy.

Under new ownership and it was wonderful! Encourage you to go try it out! Had the Marsala, Caesar, and a fantastic bottle of wine for a more than reasonable price. Excellent service - attentive and the owner was there chatting with the tables.

Last night (1-24-25) four of us really enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere at Nicolino's. I had the salmon picata which was perfectly cooked, its sauce delicious and velvety; and, the accompanying broccoli-cauliflower-carrot veggies had just the right balance crunch yet properly cooked and seasoned. Christian (one of the owners) was attentive, interesting and engaging. We all had a great time!

I had the pleasure of having dinner at Nicolino The food was delicious, try the clams. The service was on point, the ambience with the Italian music in the background is the perfect touch to a great evening. A great selection of wine to say the least.

Food was good, but the initial service was lacking. It started odd, as we seated quickly, got waters filled by a helper, but then no one spoke with us for over 15 minutes. While we saw the limited wait staff had two large groups, and tried to be patient, we were frustrated as there was literally NO INTERACTION with us. Not even an acknowledgement until the first interaction with a server, when she asked if we were ready to order apps and entrees. We said we hadn't even put in a drink order yet! She apologized and for the most part, and service got back on track from there. The apps (calamari and bruschetta) were excellent, and our meals were solid. My wife loved her salmon/pasta dish and my chicken parm was good, although the breading was a bit on the light side on the cutlet. Great flavors although my pasta was overdone and soft. The odd one was my son's filet. While cooked exactly to temp, it had a strange, almost bread like texture to the meat. Not soft and buttery, more like over brined or over tenderized, as it had no structure. And the flavor was just "meh." Definitely not worth the premium price (which was not listed on the specials menu.) Had we known the price, we probably would have sent it back! Desserts were split. The tiramisu was a bit one dimensional. Too sweet and over saturated lady fingers. But the limoncello cake was absolutely fantastic. Light, not too sweet or too tart, and simply outstanding. Including the well priced $75 bottle of wine (although it was clearly warm and not stored in a cool location) total price of the meal was $260 plus tip. Not bad, but overpriced for the level of service and food misses noted. And that included the server removing the cost of the limoncello cake in exchange for the misses at the beginning. I am glad that Nicos has a new owner. The past ownership and level of service was awful at the end, and we haven't been there in at least 5-6 years. But we heard stories that the new ownership was committed to great service and the prices were decent. Based on our experience, I would say the food and service was average at best and the prices are a bit higher than warranted. At this price, a trip to Bellevue or Kirkland can net you better food and service overall, although the alcohol costs will be much higher in those more established venues. We will likely wait a while before revisiting, to see if the reviews continue to be positive. I hope so. We are in a food desert in Issauqah with only a few great / reliable venues. The bulk of our restaurants here are quirky, with lackluster menus, and wildly unpredictable service. At times I feel many don't understand that it's their location that keeps them afloat, not their menus or service. It serves those who just don't want to hop in the car. Nico's has a chance to break that, as the small and intimate setting could set them apart. I could easily see it becoming a local treasure and charging a premium in exchange. But in order to do that, they will need to up the quality of both food and service. Otherwise it will be just another Issaquah restaurant: another forgettable option to those who are new in the area or those who don't want to venture out.

First of all wait times were extremely long. This is on a Friday evening. We were told 15 minutes but was about 30 minutes. Just plan in advance. Food was awesome but again waiting for 40 minutes between the appetizer and entree made it painful with a kid around. It's a pretty space with lots of table and few helping hands looks like. But the food quality was too good.
